Radio Voice of the Bi-Mart Eugene Challengers

The Bi-Mart Eugene Challengers American Legion baseball organization is pleased to announce the return of announcer Bill Crawford and our seventh season broadcasting games on the radio station KKNX 840 AM and rebroadcasted on KKNX 105.1. FM. Also, games are available to stream online at Radio84.com. Bill replaces Paul Yarbrough, who retired after announcing the Challengers for five seasons. Bill has been in broadcasting for close to 40 years as a radio personality in Eugene, Medford, Chico, San Francisco, Sacramento, Portland and various other cities, including Juneau, Alaska.

His sports background includes public address announcing, which he has done since 1973 for various high school, college and professional teams, and is the current Public Address Announcer at North Eugene High School. He has experience doing high school football, boys and girls basketball and baseball, plus he was recently the play-by-play voice of Northwest Christian University Women’s Basketball.

Broadcast Schedule

The Bi-Mart Eugene Challengers are proud to continue our relationship with KKNX 840 AM and 105.1. KKNX FM who will broadcast all 20 Area 4 American Legion games*, plus our season opener non-league game at Swede Johnson Stadium on Sunday, June 11th starting at 1 PM. KKNX will also carry all Bi-Mart Eugene Challengers post-season games the team will be playing in – Super Regionals, the State Tournament, which will be held at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer, the Pacific Northwest Regionals in Missoula, Montana and the American Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina.
