Two Eugene Overhead Door Challengers Pitchers Team Up In Shutout Victory Against NW Diamond Sports (Blue)

Eugene Overhead Door Challengers defeated NW Diamond Sports (Blue) 10-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Taylor Langworthy struck out Spencer Sullivan to finish off the game.

The Challengers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by the Challengers was led by Langworthy, Jaxson Fraser, Dane Woodcook, Cory Apker, and Dylan Martin, all knocking in runs in the inning.

The Challengers got things moving in the second inning, when Kyle Fuller grounded into a double play, but still managed to knock in one run.

The Challengers put up six runs in the seventh inning. Langworthy, Fraser, Woodcook, Apker, and Martin all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for NW Diamond Sports (Blue) was a single by Gray Wert in the third inning.

Kevin Pierson pitched the Challengers to victory. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out ten. Langworthy threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

#10 took the loss for NW Diamond Sports (Blue). The hurler surrendered four runs on three hits over six innings, striking out ten.

Fraser, Fuller, and Isaac Evaniew each collected one hit. Woodcook had the most chances in the field with 11.
