Eugene Overhead Door Challengers Can’t Catch Up To NW Diamond Sports (Black)

Eugene Overhead Door Challengers watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-2 loss to NW Diamond Sports (Black) on Sunday. NW Diamond Sports (Black) scored on a home run by Drew Kaatz in the first inning, a single by Kaatz in the second inning, and a single by Silas Jolicoeur in the second inning.

The Challengers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing NW Diamond Sports (Black), giving up 12 runs.

NW Diamond Sports scored six runs in the seventh inning. Kellan OakesJolicoeurTyler ChristiansenRyan HartBowen Stinson, and Ryan Morrison all drove in runs.

Grady Maples earned the victory on the hill for NW Diamond Sports. The hurler went six innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out four and walking one. Oakes threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Blake Stavros took the loss for the Challengers. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out two.

Isaac Evaniew led the Challengers with two hits in three at bats.
