Eugene Overhead Door Challengers Defeats Post 20 Dirtbags 15-5

The Eugene Overhead Door Challengers defeated Post 20 Dirtbags 15-5 on Wednesday. 

The Challengers fired up the offense in the second inning and tallied four runs in the eighth inning. The offensive firepower was led by Cooper MullensJack Riley, and Cory Apker, who all drove in runs.

Kevin Pierson earned the victory on the hill for the Challengers. Pierson lasted four innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out four. Taylor Langworthy threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.

M McCormick took the loss for Post 20 Dirtbags. McCormick went two and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out two.

The Challengers socked two home runs on the day. Dylan Irwin had a homer in the fourth inning. Vreim put one out in the third inning.

The Challengers tallied 16 hits on the day. VreimRileyIrwinDane Woodcook, and Jeff Squires each managed multiple hits. Riley and Vreim each managed three hits. The Challengers stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Squires led the way with three.
