About Us

The Eugene Challengers are a non-profit baseball organization that is a part of American Legion Baseball. The 18-person team is made up of boys ages 15-19 from local high school baseball teams in Eugene and the surrounding area. The team is a part of the Area 4 league which includes the Willamette Valley Titans, Roseburg Dr. Stewarts, Grants Pass Nuggets, Medford Mustangs, and Klamath Falls Falcons

The Challengers home games are played at Swede Johnson Stadium, a state-of-the-art facility that was built completely by volunteers. At the stadium, the Challengers host the annual Papa’s Pizza Invitational Tournament near the fourth of July and the annual Grant Smith Wood Bad Tournament. Come down and join in on the summer sports fun!

Values:

1). Play the game of baseball the right way all the time.

2). Be respectful and professional on and off the field of play.

3). Represent our community, our organization and ourselves to the best of our ability.

4). Give back to the community and provide a resource for generations to come.

5). Provide an opportunity for the young athletes in our organization to continue their baseball careers beyond High School and into the College or the Professional ranks.
